ALTHEA BARE ESSENTIALS

If you've been keeping up with us, you'll know we've had something HUGE that we've been working on. Thanks to you guys, our first baby, the Petal Velvet Powder was a success! Following that, we wanted to create something that could be the cornerstone of K-Beauty for our fans and customers. With skincare routines becoming more and more complicated, we wanted to strip it all back to the fundamentals, and with that, Althea's Bare Essential range was born!

Althea's beauty philosophy is self-explanatory: simple perfection, and with such, we wanted to create a line of skincare products that aren't just skin nourishing, but also leave the skin looking great. We wanted it to complete the skin's makeup without actually wearing makeup on. As over-complicated skincare routines can clog pores and leave the skin looking fatigued, the Bare Essentials range needed to be able to provide the skin with the necessities without any additional cost or steps to the regime, making it suitable for the busy urbanite of today. The Bare Essential range features 3 quintessential products that can be used for any skin type: a Contour Cleanser, a Primer Water and a Fixer Cream.

Cleansing is super important as this is the step to ensure your skin is ready to take on any of the goodness your skincare products will provide after. The Contouring Cleanser is made with micro capsules that gently melt into the skin, gently exfoliating away any dead skin cells and impurities from the skin. Infused with ice plant and lemon myrtle extracts, this cleanser not only ensures your skin is clean but also strengthens and refreshes for a healthy complexion. It also helps to promote blood circulation, effectively reducing swelling for a defined, slim face shape.

Both a hydrating toner and primer in one, this bottle of wonder is incredibly smooth, silky and almost balm-like on the skin. Made with snow lotus extract, the Primer Water contains patented 'dewdrop' technology that allows hydration to penetrate within the layers of the skin, plumping them up for a youthful glow. This provides the skin with immediate moisture, allowing it to soak right in for skin that looks revitalized from within. Here's a pro tip: want some extra moisture? Pat in a second layer to up your skincare game!

How to use: Pour out a small amount and apply evenly onto the face, gently patting in for better absorption. 

Seal in all that hydration with the Fixer Cream, a non-oily, quick absorbing moisturizer formulated with nourishing ingredients. This little jar packs quite a punch in the moisture department thanks to trehalose (a powerful humectant that retains moisture on the skin), and provides the skin with hydration for up to 24 hours for a smooth and supple radiance. It's also rich in antioxidents from wild green tea extracts, and helps to promote collagen in the skin using baobab tree extract, leaving your skin looking great and feeling bouncy to the touch.
